Norma Turner

Norma Turner was born in Newton, Kansas on August 22, 1925. She was a graduate of Bethel College. In 1949 she moved to Atlanta, working for Eastern Airlines. She married Walter Vernon Beane and had three daughters. They were later divorced. Daughters Sandra Gail Tallent and Patrica Jo Gathof proceeded her in death. She is survived by Jeanne Massey, daughter, grandchildren Sandra Jo Huffines, Kenneth Williams, Kelly Christian Fellows, Patrick Gathof , William Massey and great grandchild Kylar Huffines. She was very involved in the arts community in Atlanta in the early 1960's. One of the founding artists of the original Arts Festival in Atlanta. Throughout her life she painted and sculpted. Family and work were very important to her. For ninety - six years she enjoyed good health and was extremely active. She passed away peacefully.

Graveside funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Tuesday August 31, 2021 at Sawnee View Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
