Olive Lorraine Norvell

Olive Lorraine Norvell, 87, of Cumming, passed away surrounded by the love of her family on July 16, 2022. She was preceded in death by her husband, Granville “Pete” Norvell; daughter, Cathy Burkhart; and grandchildren, Frankie Rice (IV) and Jenny Brotemarkle.

Kind, loving, and a brilliant light to all who knew her, Lorraine was the glue and matriarch of her ever-growing family of 73. She is survived by her children, Frank, Michael, Bill, Terri, Jamie, Doug and Lisa, as well as her 31 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren, and her beloved dog Baxter.

Lorraine was much admired and had a long and successful career as a real estate and business broker. She had a large variety of interests that included traveling, gardening, cooking, reading, party planning and, most importantly, arranging family get togethers while enjoying time spent together and sharing her endless and loving spirit that all greatly benefitted from.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, July 30th, located at:

Johns Creek United Methodist Church,

11180 Medlock Bridge Road, Johns Creek, GA 30097

Service to be held at 11:00 am in the Sanctuary

Refreshments to follow service in the Gathering Room

In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to a charity of your choice and/or Hospice in memorandum of Lorraine Norvell.
