Omer Umberger

Omer Umberger, age 69, of Cumming, passed away Monday, June 24, 2013. Omer was known to his loved ones and friends as "Big O". His passion was playing softball and dressing up as Santa Claus at Christmas time. Omer is preceded in death by his father, Worth Umberger, his mother, Ruby Morman Umberger; and grandson, David Dingess. Survivors include his loving wife, Kathy Umberger; daughters, Diana Dingess, Teresa Jordan, Melissa Flynn; son William (Valerie) Flynn; grandchildren, Jessica Jordan, Amber Dingess, Savannah Jordan, Cheyenne Dingess, Faith Jordan, Casey Flynn, Kayla Flynn and Blake Flynn; great grandchildren, Makai Jordan and Aumani Hammons; brothers Wesley (Beth) Umberger, Rodney (Margaret) Umberger; and other loved ones and friends. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 28 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Deckard officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 3 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. until the hour of service.
