Pamela “Pam” Wheeler

Pamela “Pam” Wheeler, age 77, of Cumming, GA., went home to be with the Lord on April 8, 2024. She was a faithful member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church of Johns Creek where she sang in the choir. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Lee Wheeler; her parents, Floyd and Mildred Jameson; her brother, Charlie Jameson.

Our “Meme” touched the lives of so many. She had a servant’s heart, putting the well being of others before her own. She was a homemaker most of her life and was a caregiver to many children in her home. She never failed to share God’s love to those children along with so many others that she met on life’s journey. She and Granddaddy never failed to attend the events of their grandchildren, even to the end. Our world will never be the same and we’re left with shoes that will never be filled. 

Survivors include her children, Mickey and Karen Wheeler of Ellijay, Kim and Sam Rickett of Cumming, Amanda and Jess Swafford of Cumming; grandchildren, Dillon and Kelsey Wheeler, Jake and Haley Wheeler, Dawson and Rachel Rickett, Isaac and Adrianna Rickett, Logan Swafford and Carly Lamb, Nora Swafford and Braxton Woody; great grandchildren, James, Jensen and Bryant Wheeler; sister, Sonja Goss; brother and sister in law, Rusty and Teresa Jameson and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

 Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 11, at 11:00 a.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mickey Wheeler, Rev. Sam Rickett, Rev. Dawson Rickett, and Rev. Cody Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at Nimblewill Baptist Church Cemetery in Lumpkin County. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
