Pat A. Tucker, of Cumming, Georgia died Tuesday, May 24, 2022. She was born July 29, 1944, and lived in Huntingdon, Tennessee, until graduation from high school in 1962. She was the daughter of the late L.B. and Imogene (Johnson) Tucker of Huntingdon.

Pat attended Murray State University from 1962-1964. She moved to Georgia in 1964 where she later graduated from the University of West Georgia with Bachelor’s, Master’s and Educational Specialist’s degrees. She worked in the field of education as a teacher, therapist, social worker and ended her career in education in 1985 as Program Coordinator of Psycho-educational Services for one of the metro Atlanta school systems. She then changed careers by moving into the legal profession first as a legal secretary, then as a paralegal after receiving her paralegal certificate in 1990. Pat worked for Sutherland, Asbill and Brennen in Atlanta, then Health Images, Inc. from 1997, until she retired in 2000, she was an independent contractor specializing in contract law and working as a temporary paralegal for such corporations as Coca-Cola, Coca-Cola Enterprises, UPS, BellSouth and finally ending her legal career at McKesson Information Solutions.

Pat was married to Robert E Etheridge from 1964-1975, and to Bert W Stiles from 1976-1980, both deceased. She was a member of Mount Paran Church of God in Atlanta, GA, where she was in the choir from 1987-1998, then again from 2001-2008. She moved her church membership to First Baptist Atlanta in 2019.

Pat is survived by her “heart” sisters – Delores Mather of Shamong, NJ, Becky Presson Shalley of Lee’s Summit, MO, sister-in-law LaNelle Etheridge Murcko of Edmonton, OK, and several Tucker/Lovett and Johnson cousins.

Visitation and memorial services will be held at a later date at Chace Funeral Home in Huntingdon. Henry Simpson from First Baptist, Huntingdon, TN, will preside. Pat’s cremains will be interred at Davis Chapel Cemetery in Huntingdon.
