Patricia Ann Dempsey

Patricia Ann Dempsey of Sugar Hill, formerly of Dunwoody, passed away on July 24, 2011 after a 24 year battle with breast cancer. Anyone who knew Pat knew they had met an angel. She spent many years working with her husband in their antique business and later in the import steel business. Pat was born in Chicago, Illinois to the late John T. and Katherine P. Tully. She grew up in Hialeah Florida where she attended modeling school. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Peter Donald Dempsey; brother, Thomas J. Tully and his wife Joan E. Tully of Orlando, Florida; son, Dr. Tommy Dempsey and his wife Eve Gidion of Atlanta; daughter, Katy Dempsey Smolenski of Sugar Hill; granddaughter, Taylor Marie Smolenski of Sugar Hill. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 6500 Sugarloaf Parkway, Suite 260, Duluth, GA 30097. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, July 27th at 2:00 pm at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel, 210 Ingram Ave., Cumming, GA 30040, with Fr. Adrian Pleus officiating. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Wednesday from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm. Ingram Funeral Home Crematory, Cumming, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
