Patricia Denise Hodges

Patricia Denise Hodges, 68, passed away on April 6, 2022, in Northside Forsyth Hospital in Cumming, Georgia following an extended hospital admission. 

Pat was born September 8, 1953 in Lansing, Michigan to Betty Jo Sharp Hodges and Richard Alton Hodges.  Older sisters, Kathy and Diane will miss Pat deeply. Pat held the distinct family role of baby sister all her life. 

Pat’s utmost joy in life was being the mother to her daughter, Allison Lea Emrick.  Their relationship was an example of mother and daughter dedication, adoration, honor and love. Their commitment to each other was exceptional.  

Pat will be remembered for her colossal sense of humor.  She always had a joke to tell.  She cherished cats and dogs!  She was one of the Atlanta Braves’ biggest fans.  She enjoyed gardening. She loved hummingbirds and butterflies! Pat had a caring heart for her family and friends.  She was special in every way!

Pat will be missed by those who continue to hold her in their hearts.  Pat’s mother, Betty Jo Sharp Hodges lives in Blue Ridge, Georgia.  Daughter, Allison Lea Emrick resides in Cumming, Georgia.  Sister, Diane Hodges Eagle lives in Salisbury, North Carolina with her husband, Maurice.  Oldest sister, Katharine Hodges Kramer lives in Olympia, Washington with her husband, Dan.  Pat was a loving aunt to Diane’s and Kathy’s children and grandchildren. 

Pat’s soul is in heaven with God.  She was unafraid of death and said, “I’m going to my Lord”.  Pat’s message to us is that of trust in the word of God and commitment to God.  She shined; may we strive for that.  Pat knows the peace of God.  Pat’s example is a light for all of us to follow.  Pat will be sincerely missed by family and friends!

Greeting Pat with hugs and kisses at heaven’s gate were Pauline and Joe Sharp, grandparents extraordinaire!  May we happily reunite with our loved ones in the sweet by and by!
