Patricia (Pat) Ellene Millwood Reid

Patricia (Pat) Ellene Millwood Reid, 74, of Cumming, Georgia passed away on July 10, 2023.  She was born on April 26, 1949, to Virgil Clayton and Eva Lee Phillips Millwood, Sr.

Pat was baby Thirteen (13) of her family who lived off Little Mill Road near 6-mile creek area of Lake Lanier.  Her parents were pillars of their community, (Tulip Georgia) with a small store and postal office on their cotton farm.  She was quite an accomplished pianist (mentored by Rebecca Fagan) and played at her childhood church, Silver Shoals Baptist Church and later at Longstreet Baptist Church.  She graduated from Forsyth County Highschool in 1967 and married her sweetheart, Harold in June of 1967, joining his family farm in south Forsyth County.  She then became a Cosmetologist and owned her own business: Pat’s Coiffure Cottage at their residence off Hwy 9.  She also became a bus driver for Forsyth County School System where she retired after some 20+ years.  Becoming a very successful and award winning, owner of and Real Estate Broker, Pat Reid Properties, Forsyth County which led to her ultimately securing her childhood home.  Then, she and Harold moved the house to his family historical site, remodeled, and continue to reside for 34 years in South Forsyth County, Cumming, Georgia.

She is survived by her Husband, of 56 years, Edmond Harold Reid, Jr.;
Son, Brian Edmond Reid (Timothy Copeland); Grandchildren: Dustin Keith Sharpe, Tobie Mikey (Miriam “Mimi” Nicholson)

Funeral services for Patricia Reid will be held Saturday July 15th at the Reid Farm Memorial Gardens, 7410 Majors Rd., Cumming, GA 30040, at 11:00 AM with Rev. Doug Carnes, Rev. Terry Caylor, and Rev. Sam Castleberry officiating. The family will be accepting friends at the Reid Farm Memorial Gardens from 9:00 AM to the time of service.

Interment will follow at the Reid Farm Memorial Gardens
