Patricia Darlene Plemmons, 76, of Alpharetta, GA, went to meet her heavenly father on May 1, 2023.
Patricia “Trish” was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Almeta Tweed, her sister, Shirley McDonald, and her brother Robert Tweed.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Donald Plemmons, her children, Jennifer Plemmons Crosswell (Brad) and Donny Plemmons (Rhonda), her grandchildren, Hannah Gaddis (Josh), Maddie Crosswell, Courtlynn Plemmons, and Autumn Plemmons, her great grandson Adam Gaddis, and her brother Larry Tweed (Brenda). She also leaves behind a wealth of beloved in-laws that she loved like her own siblings, and nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Trish was born on December 5, 1946, in Asheville, NC. She graduated from Owen High School in 1964 and later received her associate degree from A.B. Technical College in Asheville. She met Don in September 1967, and they married 3 months later. He was the love of her life, and she was, and still is, the love of his. They shared a life full of love and she made his life whole.
While she was known as Trish, her favorite titles were Mom and Mimi. She loved her family with a fierceness that ensured each of them knew how important they were to her. She enjoyed spending time with her kids, granddaughters, and her great grandson. She always made everyone feel welcome in her home. She loved to cook while listening to some reggae music. She gave great hugs, she had a sweet smile for all that crossed her path, and an open-door policy for all her “adopted” children.
She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Funeral services are scheduled for 12:00 PM Monday, May 08, 2023 at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain, North Carolina. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 04, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Ingram Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospitals and Shriners International.
