Patrick John Boldus

Patrick John Boldus, loving husband, father, and grandfather passed away Wednesday, July 7, 2021, after a year long battle with cancer.

His passing was preceded by his parents, Russell and Barbara Boldus, his brother, Steven Boldus and his in-laws, Robert and Carol Guy.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Dani-Sue Guy Boldus, his children Kathryn Van Winkle and Christopher Boldus, his grandchildren Annelise, Abigail, and William Van Winkle, his siblings Michael and Ellie Boldus, Thomas and Linda Boldus, Kathleen Boldus, JoAnne and Chet Chase, his in-laws Robin and Christopher Bish, Kristin and Lawrence Lynch, Jamey and Leslie Guy, Stacy Preece, and many nieces and nephews.

Pat was born January 29, 1951, in Racine, Wisconsin. After serving in the United States Marine Corps, he returned to Racine and worked at J. I. Case Manufacturing. Throughout his years in Wisconsin he loved racing sailboats on Lake Michigan. He particularly enjoyed crewing on the Chicago to Mackinac Race each summer. In 1983 he moved his family to Alpharetta, Georgia where he worked in the building and construction industry, owning his own contracting business for over 10 years. Pat sailed through life like he sailed on the waters of Lake Michigan; competitive, fair, and thoroughly enjoying it. He will be dearly missed.

In lieu of flowers the family has suggested donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 30, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Brendan the Navigator Catholic Church, 4633 Shiloh Rd., Cumming, GA.
