Paul Courtney Edwards

Paul Courtney Edwards, age 80, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones after a long illness on September 5, 2022. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia.  He attended Chamblee High School.  He worked in building construction with his father’s company, P&H Homes, developing property in the Northcrest area of Atlanta.  He contributed to the building of his siblings’ homes in that area. He loved playing Golf and watching Football.  He was an avid Chess player often traveling to other counties in the state competing in tournaments throughout his life.  He was quite a player! 

He is survived by three daughters; Lisa M. Edwards of Orlando, Florida; Carrie D. Edwards of Eustis, Florida and Deborah S. Edwards of Gainesville, Florida; one grandson, Leland C. Garcia of Eustis, Florida; his sister Mary J. Mcrae of Suwannee, Georgia; three half-siblings; brother Ray G. Edwards of Atlanta, Georgia; sisters Vicki L. Edwards of Sugarland, Texas; Terri L Edwards of Atlanta, Georgia and his stepmother, Bethany A. Edwards of Cumming, Georgia. He also enjoyed several nieces, nephews and many cousins throughout his lifetime.  He will be missed by many friends.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Mrs. Lessie L. Edwards and father, Paul V. Edwards. 

There will be a graveside service at Cool Springs Cemetery, October 1, 2022 at 1:00 PM.
