Pauline Sparling Galloway, age 81, a new resident of Forsyth County, passed away on November 29, 2019, at The Reserve at Celebration Village, in Suwanee, GA. Pauline was raised in Philadelphia, PA, the eldest child of the late George and Helen (nee Rulis) Sparling, formerly of Norristown, PA. She graduated from Temple University and taught school in Media, PA, before changing to a career in taxes and accounting.
Pauline was recently a resident of Timber Pines in Spring Hill, FL, for 23 years and had served as treasurer of their community association. She was a member of the Delta Zeta national sorority, the Daughters of the American Revolution, an avid bridge player and a member of several sewing and quilting groups. She and her husband have traveled extensively, which included over 80 voyages on cruise ships, with Pauline conducting bridge lessons onboard 23 of these cruises.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Terrence (Terry), two sons, John and Greg (Tammy) of Suwanee, GA, a daughter, Kathryn (Grant) Frensley of Lithia, FL, and six grandchildren. Her surviving siblings are a brother Richard (Christine) Sparling of Gouldsboro, PA, and sisters Patricia (Gary) Grimes of Wayne, PA and Joan (Thomas) McCann of Brick, NJ.
Services will be private with an inurnment at the Georgia National Cemetery.
