Peggy Ann Burgess

Mrs. Peggy Ann Burgess, age 77 of Cumming, GA passed away Friday, January 1, 2010. She was a member of Deer Creek Shores Presbyterian Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Hill Moore Burgess; son, Robert Hill Millis, parents, Edna T. and Charles C. Drummond and sister, Patricia Drummond. Mrs. Burgess was a retired Forsyth County School Teacher who taught at Coal Mountain Elementary, Chestatee Elementary, North Forsyth Middle, Otwell Middle and Cumming Elementary schools and the Speech and Hearing Center in Vicksburg, MS. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Mary Beth Burgess of Cumming; grandchildren, Amanda Millis and Christian Haygood; several cousins, other relatives and friends also survive. A Funeral Service will be held Monday, January 4, 2010 at 2:00 pm in the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Tarrant and Rev. John Martin officiating. Interment will follow in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday, January 3rd from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm and Monday, January 4th from 12:00 pm until the hour of service.
