Peter (Pete) Anthony Mazza

Peter Anthony Mazza  (Pete) passed away Monday, January 30, 2023 at Cumming Senior Living. Pete was born September 24, 1939 in Mount Vernon, New York to Dr. Peter and Ruth Mazza. After New York the family moved to West Palm Beach, Florida. Pete served in the United States Army from 1957-1959 serving at Arlington Hall where he met his wife, Helen Mae Carpenter. They were married April 30, 1960.

Pete started his career with Retail Credit Company, currently known as Equifax. He transferred back to West Palm Beach, FL and then to Atlanta, Georgia in 1967. They raised their children mainly in Gwinnett County. He ended up at IPD printing, owned by Equifax and became the General Manager. Before retiring Pete and Helen moved to a beautiful home on Lake Lanier in Lumpkin County.

After retirement Pete built a home in Habersham County for his wife, Helen.

Over the years he enjoyed bowling, reading, gardening and just being outside. When he wasn't working he loved the art of picture framing and had a nice shop for years. 

Pete is survived by his children and their spouses, Theresa A. Bennett and Roger E. Bennett, Patricia A. Luttrell and Bill J. Luttrell, Peter A. Mazza Jr. & Heather Mazza. Also by sister, Gail Harp and brother, Jeffrey Mazza and his wife, Dianna. Pete isalso survived by his aunt, Norma Pincheon and two cousins, Leslie and Gary Pincheon. Pete has 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Pete will be laid to rest where his wife and parents are buried.

Graveside service will be held Monday. February 6, at 1:00 p.m. at Sawnee View Gardens.
