Polly Hedlund Hall was born in New York City on December 4, 1928 and passed away on December 30, 2021. She had been married to her husband, Dick Hall, for 66 years.
Polly graduated from Connecticut College and earned a Master's degree from Columbia University (Teacher's College). She lived in Greenwich, CT for 35 years and was very involved in educational endeavors, including having been elected to the Greenwich Board of Education. She was also an Administrator at Greenwich Academy for 14 years. She and Dick retired to The Landings in Savannah, where she served 8 years on the Village Library Board and was active during the building stages of the new library. She had many other volunteer affiliations, including the Telfair Museum, Landlovers at The Landings, and Skidaway Island United Methodist Church. She was once honored as the community's "Volunteer of the Year". Polly especially loved being with her family, and enjoyed sports, both actively and as a spectator, reading and bridge.
Polly is survived by her husband Dick, her three children Mark Hall (wife Nancy), Laura Peterson (husband Chuck), Karen Jenkins (husband Dan), as well as, nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
