Quinton Lord

Quinton Lord, age 81, of Cumming, GA, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on July 15, 2016. Quinton was born in Atlanta, GA, in 1934 to the late Henry and Carrie Lord. Mr. Lord served his country honorably as a Sargent in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. He was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Cumming, GA. Quinton was a very generous man, that loved his family, friends and church. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He will be missed dearly. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Laura Bell Lord, brothers, Calvin, Edward, and Jerry Lord; sister, Frances Lord. Survivors include his Son and daughter-in-law, Audie (Jennifer) Lord of Dawsonville, GA; daughter, Darlene Lord of Cumming, GA; grandchildren, James Kaiser of Dawsonville, GA, and Audume Lord of Cumming, GA; great grandchild, Ms. Addison Lord of Cumming, GA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Morris (Lynn) Lord of Woodstock, GA, Gene (Carolyn) Lord of Lady Lake, FL, Harold ( Betty Ann) Lord of Woodstock, GA; sisters-in-law, Gertrud Lord of Woodstock, GA, Edna Lord of Lilburn, GA, and Clara Watson of Cumming, GA; special granddaughter, Victoria Alford of Tampa, FL; along with many other loving friends and relatives. The Funeral Service for Quinton Lord will be Wednesday, July 20, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Terry Cowart, Rev. Jason Hamby, and Rev. Dusty Mathis officiating. Internment will follow at Sawnee View Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, July 18, 2016, from 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and again on Tuesday, July 19, 2016, from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Ingram Funeral Home & Crematory, Cumming, GA is in charge of arrangements.
