Raymond A. Dempsey, Jr.
Raymond A. Dempsey, Jr., age 90, of Atlanta, passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2014 after a battle with Alzheimers.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Elizabeth Cox of Atlanta, children Theresa and Doug McAlpin of Cumming, Mary and David Yonchik of Casselberry, FL, Peter and Cathy Dempsey of Dayton Ohio, Andrew Dempsey of Atlanta, and grandchildren James Sheppard of Cumming, Julia Sheppard and Christina Yonchik of Atlanta.
A native of Cleveland, OH, he served in the Army Air Corps in the Pacific theater during WWII and later in the Navy reserves.
There will be a viewing from 10:00-10:30 am at Byars Funeral Home in Cumming,Ga.
A mass will be held at Byars Funeral Home in Cumming, GA at 11am on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 followed by internment at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA.
