Rebecca Ann McGinnis

Rebecca Ann Wilson McGinnis, 55, of Cumming, GA passed away December 9, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Rebecca was born in Gainesville, GA to Roy Daniel Wilson and Barbara Ann Phyfe Wilson

After many years working for the Forsyth County School System, Rebecca pursued her lifelong desire to become a nurse. A month after receiving her LPN License at Lanier Technical College and turning 45, she was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, a rare blood plasma cancer. For the last ten years, Rebecca received countless treatments, stem cell transplants, chemotherapies, and hospital visits. On the morning of December 9th, she won her battle with her diagnosis and went home to be with the Lord.

Rebecca deeply loved her family and her husband, Robby. He cared for her tirelessly through her battle, always putting her needs over his and never leaving her side. 

Mrs. McGinnis is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Robby McGinnis, mother, Barbara Ann Wilson, son and daughter in-law, Tyler and Lauren McGinnis, daughter and son in-law, Amanda and Kyle Hanson, grandsons Bret Hanson and Logan McGinnis, brother, Andy Wilson, and many dear friends. 

The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 11, 2024 from 10:00 am until 7:00 pm at Ingram Funeral Home, 210 Ingram Avenue, Cumming, GA 30040.
