Rena Donnell Canipe

RENA DONNELL CANIPE, 93, of Jupiter, Florida, passed away on January 7th, 2011 in Johns Creek, GA.

She is survived by five of her children, three sons-in-law, two sisters-in-law, seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and many wonderful nieces and nephews.

Rena was involved in Girl Scouting for 90 years and at the age of 3 was the "mascot" for the 1st Girl Scout troop in South Florida. Throughout her life, she received many awards for helping others and for her volunteerism to her church and in South Florida. Her loving, generous and Christ-like nature affected and deeply touched the lives of many people, including her last 4 years in Metro-Atlanta.

The Funeral Service will be in the Chapel at Perimeter Church in Johns Creek, Georgia on Thursday January 13th, 2011. The family will receive friends from 12:30pm until the time of service at 1:30pm.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to: Perimeter Church, or the Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida or the United Methodist Church of the Palm Beaches.
