Reuben J. Ball Jr

Reuben J. Ball, Jr., age 83 of Cumming, passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2013. He was a devoted man to his family and church, had a great sense of humor and enjoyed playing golf and traveling. Reuben was a member of the Lions Club and was past president. He was a former Liberty National Life Insurance Agent and owned Ball Tax Service. Reuben was preceded in death by his parents, Reuben J. and Ruby Ball; brother Horace Ball. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Susan L. Ball of Cumming; children, Diane Wall O'Shields (Danny) of Ball Ground, Chris Ball of Cumming; brothers, Robert Lee (Louise) Ball of Cumming, Fred H. (Dianne) Ball of Milton; sister, Elaine Reid of Cumming; sister-in-law, Gloria Ball of Woodstock; grandchildren, Leina Douka, Jordan Wall, Alex Ball, Whitney Ball; 7 great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held, Sunday, December 1st at 2:00 pm at Grace Baptist Church with Elder Danny Cagle, Elder Ray Wagner, Elder Edward Cagle officiating. Interment will follow in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Saturday from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm and Sunday from 12:00 noon until hour of service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Forsyth County Lions Club, P O Box 1317, Cumming, GA 30028 to be used for their supported charities.
