Rev. Dan Henderson

Rev. Dan Henderson, went to be with the Savior on May 8, 2024. Dan was born January 22, 1934. His spiritual birth was August 1948 and was a member of New Harmony Baptist Church for 76 years. Dan’s primary goal in life was praying and see the lost come to know his Jesus. He loved everyone and preached love. Dan pastored several Churches in this area. He retired from Coca Cola Bottling Company with 34 years of service.

Dan is preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Amy Henderson; two brothers, Dozier and Rudolph.

Dan is survived by his wife of 66 years, Mae; 4 sons and their families: Tony and Debra, Tommy, Caitlin, Libby, Justion, Hope, Aaliyah and Alex; Joey and Chris, Haley, Will Easton and Everly; Kenny and Lori , Sawyer and Peyton; Davey and Susan, Michael, Carlie Colt and Daniel; 2 sisters, Norma Lummus and her family; Peggy Compton and her family, 1 brother, Jimmy and Joyce Henderson and their family, also the family of Dozier Henderson and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services will be held 11:00am Saturday, May 11, 2024, at New Harmony Baptist Church with Rev. Pete Martin, Rev. Larry Waddell and Rev. Johnny Purcell officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, May 10, 2024, from 1:30 pm to 9:00 pm and Saturday, May 11, 2024, from 9am until hour of service at Ingram Funeral Home.

The family has requested that all preachers are invited to serve as honorary pallbearers and are to be at New Harmony Baptist Church Saturday morning at 10:30 am. 

The family request no flowers and ask that donations be made to The Georgia Baptist Children’s Home or to St. Jude in Dan’s memory.
