Rev. Hughlen Cochran, age 65 of Cumming, passed away Sunday, June 27, 2010. Hughlen graduated from Forsyth County High School in 1963 and then graduated from Reinhardt College in 1965. He was an active member of Oak Grove Baptist Church where he taught Sunday school and professed his call to the ministry in 1980. He was called to Pastor Mt. Tabor Baptist Church and served there from 1987 to 1989. He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Cochran, grandparents, Iverson and Bessie Gazaway, and sister-in-law, Becky Cochran. Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Sue Hendrix Cochran of Cumming; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Sherry Cochran of Cumming; daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Jeff Ragsdale of Alpharetta; grandchildren, Julia, Jacob, Kate, Casey and Cale; mother, Mildred Cochran of Cumming; brothers and sisters-in-law, Joey and Lindsey Cochran of Cumming, Johnny Cochran of Cumming and Stevie and Pam Cochran of Cumming; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at 3:00 pm at Oak Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Garry English, Rev. Ruel Martin, Rev. Robert Martin, Rev. Larmon Barron, Rev. Ken May and Rev. Craig Richard officiating. Interment will follow in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Monday from 11:30 am until 9:00 pm and Tuesday from 9:00 am until hour of service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Embracing Hospice, 8013 Majors Road, Cumming, GA 30041. Ingram Funeral Home Crematory, Cumming, GA is in charge of the arrangements.
