Rex Carlyle

Rex Carlyle, age 57 of Forsyth County, passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2014. He retired from Peachtree Doors and Windows after 28 years of service. He enjoyed coaching girls softball and had won multi-championships. Rex liked restoring old cars, especially his 1957 Chevrolet. He was preceded in death by his father Gene Carlyle. Survivors include his mother, Margaret Carlyle of Forsyth County; mother of his children, Shelia Lachner of Gainesville; children, Jeremy and Crystal Carlyle of Gainesville, Crystal Carlyle of Gainesville, Josh Carlyle and fiance Stephanie Smith of Grayson; sister and brother-in-law, Tina and Gaspare Badalament of Gainesville; grandchildren, Alexis Carlyle and Wyatt Rex Carlyle. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 12th at 2:00 pm at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Michael Grizzle, Rev. Joey Grizzle and Rev. Scott Grizzle officiating. Interment will follow in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Wednesday from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm and Thursday from 9:00 am until hour of the service.
