Richard D. "Ricky" Satterfield

Richard D. (Ricky) Satterfield, age 69, of Cumming passed away Friday, April 15, 2016. Ricky was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He worked for the Forsyth County Sherriff's Department as an Investigator and then retired from Ashland Oil Company. Ricky enjoyed spending time at Evan's Garage restoring and detailing old cars. He is preceded in death by his father, H.V. Satterfield, Jr. and his grandparents, Virgil and Mattie Satterfield. Survivors include his sister, Joan Kirby; nieces, Melissa (Jackie) Tinsley, Kelly Patterson (Destiny and Zachary) all of Cumming; aunts, uncles and other relatives. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 18, at 11:00 a.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Clyde Boling, Rev. Taylor Cole, Rev. Danny Satterfield and Rev. Johnny Purcell officiating. Interment, with military honors, will follow at Sawnee View Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., Sunday from 12:00 to 2:00 and 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
