Richard Whitmire

Richard Whitmire, age 64 of Cumming, passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2016. He was a member of Cumming Second Baptist Church. Richard was preceded in death by parents, Marvin and Bessie Whitmire; brother, Glenn Whitmire. Survivors include his wife, Martha Whitmire of Cumming; children, Tammy Rickles of Norcross, Timmy Whitmire of Augusta, Angela Barnes of Cumming, Albert and Debbie Gravitt of Cumming; 12 grandsons; 1 great grandson; sisters and brothers-in-law, Denise and Morris Sweatman of Dawsonville, Diane Whitmire of Dawsonville, Jeannie Whitmire of Cumming, Myra and Jeff Strickland of Cumming; brother, Buddy Whitmire of Cumming; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive. Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 29th at 2:00 pm at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bo Thompson and Rev. Beaver Dean officiating. Interment will follow in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Saturday from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm and Sunday from 9:00 am until hour of service.
