Richard William O'Connor, age 84 of Cumming, passed away Saturday, February 1, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emmett and Julia O'Connor; son, James O'Connor. Survivors include his loving wife of 58 years, Patricia O'Connor of Cumming; children, Kevin (Barbara) O'Connor of Arkansas, Richard (Rebecca) O'Connor of Hawks Ridge, GA, Robert (Rachel) O'Connor of North Carolina, John (Charlene) O'Connor of Cumming, Brian (Gina) O'Connor of Illinois, Sean (Julie) O'Connor of Canton, Kathleen (Jeffery) Higgins of Illinois; 19 grandchildren; and brother, Robert O'Connor of Illinois. Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, February 6, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Brendan's Catholic Church with The Reverend Father Matthew Van Smoorenburg officiating. Interment will follow at Georgia National Cemetery at 2 P.M. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5 P.M. until 9 P.M.
