Rickey Eldo Grogan

Rickey Eldo Grogan, 71, a proud Forsyth County native passed away Monday, December 11, 2023. Rickey’s passions revolved around his family. He enjoyed attending and watching UGA football games with his family and grandchildren, attending his grandchildren’s sports and activities and loved to snow ski. Rickey was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and was a Master Mason and member of Matt Lodge #694F&AM. He is proceeded in death by his father and mother,Eldo and Effie Mills Grogan; father and mother-in-law,Eldred and Mattie Conner Watson; brothers-in-law, Buck Caudle and Larry Milford.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Debra Watson Grogan; daughters and sons-in-law, Amanda and Kevin Grindle and Anna and Greg Ridings, all of Cumming; son and daughter-in-law, Chad and Kim Grogan of Dawsonville; grandchildren, Brady Grindle, Andrew Grogan, Mattie Grindle and fiancé, Logan Wilson, Chase Ridings, Luke Ridings, Hagan and Gabby Bailey, Ashlyn and Austin Miller; great grandchildren, Owen Bailey, Copeland Miller, Jude Bailey; sisters, Penny Clark (Rush) of Cumming, Suzanne Caudle of Charlotte, NC; sisters-in-law, Ann Milford of Hiawassee, GA and Regina Watson of Cumming; many loving nieces, nephews and other family members

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 13, at 2:00 p.m. at Oak Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Craig Richard, Rev. Garry English and Rev. Ruel Martin. Interment, with Masonic Rites, will follow at Sawnee View Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 3:00 until 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
