Ricky Lee Wigington

Ricky Lee Wigington, 55, of Dawsonville, GA passed away April 13, 2023. Ricky was born in Jasper, GA to the late Larry Charles Wigington, Sr. and Barbara Ann Watson Wigington. Ricky was a master carpenter by trade, he was a jack of all trades and could create anything with his tools and a piece of wood. Mr. Wigington was the owner and operator of R & W Cabinets. He was perfectionist to his trade. He took pride in every part of his trade to be the best at what he did. Ricky was a motorcycle enthusiast and enjoyed riding his motorcycle through the mountains. Mr. Wigington loved nature and felt as one. He was an animal lover; he fed the deer and racoons in his backyard daily. The animals would even come up to him. He enjoyed fishing on the Etowah River. He caught many fish, but always released them because he would never want to kill one of God’s creatures. Ricky’s heart was too gentle to ever harm an animal. He has nurtured many mammals and birds back to health. Rick had a beautiful spirit and would help anyone human or not. He will be greatly missed by his family and wonderful friends. He is reunited with his parents in heaven. Until we meet again.

He is survived by the love of his life, Charlene Patrick;  son, Merrill Wood; daughter, Andrea Wigington; grandchildren, Canaan, Sadie, Gideon, Lazarus; sister, Tracy Wigington Turner; brothers, Larry Charles Wigington, Jr., Philip Scott Wigington; several nieces and nephews.  

A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Sunday, April 16, 2023, at Sawnee View Gardens in Cumming, GA. The family will receive friends Sunday, April 16, 2023, from 8:30 am to 10:45 am at Ingram Funeral Home, 210 ingram Avenue, Cumming, GA 30040.
