Robert Alan Brown

Robert Alan Brown, age 71, passed away on Tuesday, June 5, 2018, at his home in Cumming, Georgia after a battle with cancer.

Mr. Brown is survived by his wife of 50 years, Patricia, and three children: Cathy Brown Austin (Jim), Patrick Brown (Abbie), and Matthew Brown (Wendy). He is blessed with seven grandchildren: Zach, Callan, and Brent Austin; Skylar and Kenley Brown; and Loren and Jonnie Brown. Bob has three brothers, 2 sisters, several sisters-in-law, and a brother-in-law. He was also blessed with many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Bob is a Vietnam Veteran who served in the Army, Air Force, and Air National Guard with 24 years of service to our country. In addition to his military service, he worked for Delta Airlines for 28 years.

Bob enjoyed working in his yard, completing woodworking projects, reading, and attending any activities that included his children or grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held Wednesday, June 20, at 10:00 a.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel. Inurnment, with military honors, will follow at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

The family would like to thank Golden Rule Hospice in Alpharetta, GA for the excellent care they gave Mr. Brown. They would also like to express their appreciation to the many friends and family who prayed, sent messages of love, and checked-in on Bob and the family during the last 16 months.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to any veteran or military organization or to a personal charity of choice.
