Robert Alan Kirkbride

Mr. Robert Alan Kirkbride, age 72, of Cumming, GA passed away unexpectedly Monday, April 7, 2014 in Eutaw, AL. Born November 6, 1941 in Wheeling, WV, he had lived in Cumming for the past 8 years, moving here from Carriere, MS. Bob was a graduate of Ohio State University and had a 40 year career in Information Technology, retiring from ADP. He was also retired from the U.S. Army, having served in Vietnam and Operation Desert Storm in Iraq. Bob was a Mason and Shriner, serving as a Potentate of Joppa Shrine of Biloxi, MS in 1993. He was also a member of Atlanta Court No. 91, Royal Order of Jesters, the Royal Order of Scotland as well as numerous other Masonic and Shrine bodies. An avid golfer, Bob played every Tuesday with his best friend, Bob. Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Kirkbride of Cumming; daughters, Tracy Haley of Christchurch, New Zealand, Melissa (Anthony) Mata and Stephanie (David) McAvoy, all of Haslet, TX, Tina Sanvick of Cincinnati, OH and Jackie Todd of Arizona; grandchildren, Caleb Roberts, Lilyana Mata, Ava Kemp, Sophie Haley, Emily Haley and future granddaughter, Eleanor McAvoy; a sister, Carolyn Bales (Gary Hahn) of North Canton, OH and an aunt, Mary Louise Wiltshire, also of North Canton, OH. Memorial services with Masonic Rites will be held Sunday, April 13, at 2:00 p.m. at Ingram Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home the hour prior to the service.
