Robert “Bob” Johnson

Robert “Bob” Johnson, age 67, passed away on December 5th, 2023.  He is survived by Barbara, his wife of 43 years, daughters, Erica (Mike) Miller of Tamarac, FL, and Amanda Johnson of Hobart, NY.

Bob was the owner of His Rock Music, located in Cumming, GA.  Over the 16 years he lived in Georgia, he had different “iterations” of his store in both Dawson and Forsyth counties.  He was very proud of being a small business owner in these communitiesand providing a stage for talent (local and beyond) to perform.  He was the recipient of the communities love and support when the space he was relocating to was lost in a fire in January 2020.  He was able to reopen behind the Ponce de Leon Music Center in Cumming.

Besides music, Bob was passionate about youth ministry and actively worked with students in churches both in Georgia and Florida over 30 years.

He was also an avid football fan, following both the Miami Hurricanes and Dallas Cowboys.

In lieu of a formal service, there is a “Celebration of the Legacy of His Rock”
benefit planned for Sunday, December 10th, 2023, from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Ponce de Leon Music Center.
