Robert Bruce Blanchard

Robert B. Blanchard, 79, died Monday, June 27, 2011 at the Embracing Hospice in Cumming, Ga. following a lengthy illness. He was a Veteran of the United States Army.

He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Bonnie; sons, Robert James and Jonathan Breck; daughter, Louri Kearns; sister, Constance & brother-in-law, Jeffrey Hill; two step daughters; eleven grandchildren and two nephews.

He was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio and attended Ohio State University. He served in the U. S. Army, Fort Myers, VA as a Sentinel at "The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier" in Arlington Cemetery. He was employed for over 50 years in the commercial wall covering industry.

Military Memorial Ceremony and Service will on Friday July 8, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at The Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Saturday July 9, 2011, at 11:00am at Peachtree Corners Christian Church in Norcross, Georgia.
The family will receive friends at the Church from 10:00am until 11:00am prior to the hour of service.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made in his memory to Embracing Hospice, 8013 Majors Road, Cumming, Georgia, 30041.
