Robert Emory Bolton III

Funeral Services for Robert Emory Bolton III, 70, are scheduled for February 9, 2014 at 2:00 at Cornelia United Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 6-8pm at Ingram Funeral Home in Cumming, Georgia. Interment will be at Level Grove Cemetery in Cornelia, Georgia. Mr. Bolton died on February 5, 2014 in Cumming, Georgia at Northside Forsyth Hospital. Born April 9, 1943 in Moultrie, Georgia, he was the son of the late Robert Emory Bolton Jr. and Christine Weeks Bolton. He grew up in Marietta, Georgia and graduated from Sprayberry High School. He attended University of Georgia and Georgia State University. During his time at UGA he belonged to Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. Mr. Bolton then went to work at Commercial Union and then moved to Kemper Insurance where he became the Divisional Commercial Underwriting manager for the Eastern Seaboard and Canada. He was also the Chairman of the Board of the Massachusetts F.A.R.E. Plan. Mr. Bolton was a gentle, kind and loving man. He was a wonderful father, grandfather, and devoted husband. He was an avid golfer and always enjoyed his annual golf trips to the North Georgia Mountains. He enjoyed vacationing with his family at Lake Burton, Hilton Head and Lake Blue Ridge. One of his favorite past times was attending his grandson's basketball and baseball games. He also loved to see his granddaughter cheer for the park and rec football team. Mr. Bolton is survived by his loving wife of 48 years and his high school sweetheart , Robin Ricketson Bolton, his daughter Robin Jeanie Bolton Friday, her husband Jeffrey Scott Friday, 10 year old twin grandchildren Zachary Robert Martin Friday and Rebecca Jean Friday, and sisters Pat Bolton Turner and Gwynne Bolton, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
