Robert Leland Tidwell

Robert Leland Tidwell, age 88, of Cumming, GA, passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2017. He was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church, where he taught Sunday School and led singing. He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather. Mr. Tidwell served in the United States Airforce from 1946 -1949. He loved to garden and loved his tractor, and enjoyed watching his grandsons drive it when he became unable.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Sarah Tidwell; daughter, Eloise Harper; son Kenneth Tidwell; and parents, Fred and Mae Tidwell.

He is survived by his daughter and sons-in-law, Teresa (Larry) Cowart, and Billy Harper; grandchildren, Chris Harper, Clint Harper, Travis Cowart, Tyler Cowart, and Dinah young; 10 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Friday, October 27, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary English and Rev. Dennis Bottoms officiating. Interment to follow in Sawnee View Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, October 26, 2017, from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Friday, from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
