Robert Prosser Tyler Jr.

Robert Prosser Tyler Jr. was born on December 28, 1944 at Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, North Carolina and grew up in Swansboro, North Carolina. He enlisted in the Air Force after he graduated from high school. When he left the Air Force his first job was with Delta airlines in Atlanta which allowed him to travel and make many friends. He also worked in the commercial printing industry for many years. He met his wife, Vickie in Atlanta and married in 1975. They were married for 46 years.

He had a love for the outdoors. Wherever he went he made life-long friends. He was one of a kind who could always make people laugh. He lived life to the fullest with a passion for hunting and fishing, camping, and water sports. He enjoyed being with family and friends in Swansboro and Atlanta. He always missed his coastal North Carolina hometown and will be laid to rest there. Due to the pandemic arrangements will be announced later.

He was predeceased by his mother, Margaret Taylor; stepfather, Vernon Taylor; Uncle Ray Tyler and father Robert Tyler. He is survived by his wife Vickie, Aunt Ruth Tyler, Pat and Calvin Grimes, sister-in-law and bother-in-law, nephews Calvin and Will Grimes as well as their wives, two great nephews, a great niece, numerous friends, and his beloved fur kid, Scruffy.

Instead of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or your local animal shelter.
