Roger Rip Johnson, 49, died January 26, 2012, with his family by his side in Atlanta, Georgia.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Byars Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Cumming, Georgia. A memorial mass will be held on Thursday, February 2, 2012 at 6 p.m. at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Stone Mountain, Georgia. His funeral will be on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at Georgia National Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. in Canton, Georgia.

He was born February 22, 1962, in Fort Bragg, North Carolina to Luther and Virginia Johnson. He graduated from Hopewell High School in Hopewell, Virginia and served in the United State Marine Corps for over 10 years. He has resided in Stone Mountain, Georgia with his family since 1992.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 27 years, Patricia Keen Johnson; son, Tony Johnson and his wife Fawn, of Stone Mountain; daughter, SPC Leah Johnson, stationed at Ft. Bliss Texas; son, Mark Johnson, of Stone Mountain; brother, Luther Gordie Johnson of Petersburg, Virginia; brother, Raymond Johnson and his wife Janet of Lafayette, Louisiana; and Ralph Johnson and his wife Sharon of Petersburg, Virginia; and other relatives and friends.
