Mr. Ronald Francis Bousquet, of Dacula, Georgia passed away on Friday, January 17, 2025 after a lengthy illness. Ronald was preceded in death by his parents Roland and Gloria Bousquet of Gainesville, Georgia and brother Richard Bousquet of Florida. Born February 27, 1947 in Hartford, Connecticut, Mr. Bousquet resided in numerous areas around the United States including Florida, Illinois, California, living for a number of years around the metro-Atlanta area, and most recently residing in Dacula, Georgia. Mr. Bousquet was a retired veteran who served in the United States Army in the 18th Military Police Brigade during the War of Vietnam receiving the Army Commendation Metal for Meritorious Achievement. Ronald also served as an officer, pilot, and flight engineer in the United States Navy in Glenview IL, San Diego CA, and Jacksonville FL. In his lifetime, Ronald particularly enjoyed spending his time flying planes, sailing boats, driving hot-rod vehicles, and going to the beach or camping with family. Ronald is survived by his children: Ryan Bousquet (Katie Bousquet)and grandson Emmett Bousquet of Colbert, Georgia; his daughter Heather Bousquet of Dacula, Georgia; as well as his brother Raymond Bousquet (Pamela Bousquet) of Gainesville, Georgia ; as well as numerous nephews and cousins.
“A memorial service with military honors will take place on Thursday , February 27, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia. En lieu of flowers the family has requested donations please be made in Ronald’s honor to the Parkinson’s Foundation.
