Ronnie, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and proud Navy veteran, went to be home with his Lord and Savior on March 17th, at the age of 70.
Ronnie found his passion early in life, which led him to serve his country with honor in the United States Navy. His fascination with planes never faded, and he combined that passion with an artist’s eye, capturing the world around him through the lens of his camera. You wouldn't find Ronnie at a family event without his camera. Whether it was the beauty of flight, the simplicity of everyday life, or the smiles of those he loved, his photography reflected the depth of his appreciation for the world around him.
Above all, Ronnie was a man of love and devotion to his family. He shared a beautiful life with his wife, Winarni, whose companionship and love were one of his greatest joys. He was a proud and caring father to his daughters, Jenni Hines Dunagan (Rodney) and Katie Hines Hunt(Zach), always supporting them with kindness and wisdom. His six grandchildren—Logan (22), Leah (17), Maxwell (13), Sophia (12), Allison (12), and Luke (9)—brought him immense pride and happiness, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
He is also survived by his six siblings: Larry (Karen), Gail, Melinda, Marilyn, Jay, and Johnny(Jackie), with whom he shared a lifetime of memories, laughter, and love. His presence in their lives will be deeply missed but fondly remembered.
A private ceremony will be held this week, and a celebration of life will take place at a later date to honor and remember the incredible man he was.
Ronnie will be remembered for his gentle spirit, his quirkiness, his well-read knowledge of pretty much anything, his countless fishing and hunting trips, and his deep love for family. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched, the many stories he told, and the images he captured.
