Rosann Harrison

Rosann Harrison was born August 8, 1949 in Detroit, Michigan to the union of Morris and Sara Gold.

Rosann affectionately known as "Rosie" was raised in Detroit, Michigan but lived the last 11 years of her life in Atlanta, GA in which she moved there in 2000 to stay with her daughter Claudette Gold to pursue a better life style.

Rosann truly enjoyed cleaning, exercising, drawing, talking on the phone, and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed watching the Christian Network, countless hours of The Weather Channel, and she loved the Wendy Williams show in which she looked forward to seeing what nice clothes and makeup she had on each day. Rosie had an eye for fashion, and make-up. In her last days here wearing short hot red hair, she was know as "Ms. Diva" by the doctor's and staff at the Hospice facility.

In the early 90's Rosann dedicated her life to Christ and attended Jubilee Christian Church in Michigan. She spent years reading the bible and writing messages with her twin sister, Norma Gold.

Rosann will forever remain in our hearts until we meet again. Rosann peacefully departed this life on Dec. 31, 2010 surrounded by her loving daughters at 1:40 pm. Preceding her in death was her parents Morris Gold, Sara Gold, husband Raymond D. Harrison, and twin sister Norma Gold.


She will truly be missed.

She is survived by sons, Raymond Harrison and Jamal Harrison; daughters, Jenny Gold, Shena Harrison, Claudette Gold, Sherry Houston and Kristina Harrison; grandchildren, Sara Gold, Faith Simpson, Gabrel Sanders, Tony Joliffii, Nyra Sanders, Duron Houston, Nicholas Houston, Madison Sanders, Jacob Joliffii and Briana Houston; great-grandchild, Isbella.

The Family will be hosting a Celebration of Life Memorial Service on Sunday Janaury 9th, 2011 at the Byars Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00PM. A reception will follow the service.
