Mrs. Rose Marie Herchen, age 70 of Cumming, GA passed away Sunday, June 21, 2009. She was a member of Lanier United Methodist Church and participant in the Bible Study Fellowship. Rose enjoyed music, played and taught piano to many. She also volunteered for a number of years with Habitat for Humanity Thrift Store. Her hobbies included Bible study, cross-stitching, puzzles, gardening, reading and doll collecting. Rose always felt her most important accomplishment was caring for her family which included her husband, children and grandchildren. She provided them with spiritual nourishment through her faith, as well as physical nourishment in her love for baking wonderful bread and cookies. Survivors include her husband, Arthur E. Herchen, Jr. of Suwanee, GA; children, Becky and Mike Rowley of Suwanee, GA, Robert and Sara Lear of Lake Worth, FL, Tim and Julia Herchen of Dallas, TX, Beth and David Swink of Suwanee, GA and Paul and Jan Herchen of Tequesta, FL; grandchildren, Sean, Chris, Brittany, Noah, Owen, Adam, Courtney and Ryan; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bob and Alma Swain of St. Louis, MO and Don and Darla Swain of Kansas City, MO; sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Jim McLaughlin of Butler, MO; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive. The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 23rd from 4:00pm until 7:00pm at Ingram Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held in Missouri at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Embracing Hospice, Habitat for Humanity or Lanier United Methodist Church. Ingram Funeral Home Crematory, Cumming, GA is in charge of the arrangements.
