Roy Edward Ruggles

Roy Edward Ruggles, 75, of Cumming Georgia died Wednesday August 9, 2023 at The Chestnut Nursing Home after a hard fought and lengthy illness. 

A Wheelersburg Ohio native, Roy worked as a self-employed construction worker all his life until his retirement.  After retirement, Roy kept busy operating a wood yard to sell firewood out of his home to the residents of Cumming, Georgia. 

He was preceded in death by his parents Albert Ray Ruggles and Mary Rebecca Ruggles.  He is survived by three brothers; Ray Ruggles of New Boston, Ohio, Ronald Ruggles of Lancaster, Ohio, and Richard Ruggles of Watkinsville, Georgia.  He is also survived by a cousin, Linda Langford of Atlanta, Georgia.

Roy will be missed by many local neighbors who cared for him like family and friends.

The Funeral Mass will be held this Monday August 14 at 1:00 at Good Shephard Catholic Church 3740 Holtzclaw road, Cumming.
