Ruby Corn, age 99, lifelong resident of Forsyth County, passed away Sunday, May 29, 2011. Miss Corn was a lifelong member and the oldest member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Cumming where she taught Sunday School and played the piano for a number of years. She resided at Peachtree Plantation in Oakwood for the last 4 years. The family would like to thank the staff at Peachtree Plantation for their care for Ruby. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alford Luther and Sarah Caroline Corn; brothers, Arza Corn, Jim Corn, Hymon Corn, Bill Corn, Grady Corn and Boyd Corn; sisters, Monna Martin, Etta Martin, Effie Walls, Eula Burruss and Alta Wallace; 32 nieces and nephews. She is survived by 31 nieces and nephews whom she dearly loved. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm Wednesday, June 1st at Oak Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Garry English, Rev. Danny Bennett and Rev. Dennis Bottoms officiating. Interment will follow in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm and 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm and Wednesday from 9:00 am until hour of service. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Oak Grove Baptist Church Music Department, 5640 Oak Grove Circle, Cumming, GA 30028. Ingram Funeral Home Crematory, Cumming, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
