Ruby Lee McDougle

Ruby Lee McDougle, 85, originally from Cumming but lived in Dawsonville passed away Thursday, March 7, 2024. Ruby was a loving mother figure to her family and friends. Everywhere she went she seemed to adopt “sons”. Ruby was a hard worker all of her life and was the first female meter reader for Sawnee EMC. After retiring from Sawnee, she worked for Goodson’s Pharmacy for 10 years. Ruby is preceded in death by her husband, Matthew McDougle.

 Survivors include her daughters, Deborah (James) McKinzie, Julie McDougle, Jacqueline (Richard) Staples, Venicia (Paul) Hughes; grandchildren, Rick Staples, Victoria Gailo; great granddaughter, Obi Rae Gailo; brother, Eugene (Nancy) Langston; a number of nieces and nephews.

 Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 11, at 2:00 p.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor John Gheradini officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Gardens.

 The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
