Rufus Talmadge Harris

Rufus Talmadge Harris, age 84 of Smyrna, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2015. He was an active member of Bethelview Methodist Church of Cumming. He is preceded in death by his parents, Vernie and Alma Harris of Cumming, and two brothers and three sisters. Survivors include his spouse, Louise Harris of Smyrna, GA and children, Rick (Sharon) Harris of Dallas, GA and Kathy (Mike) Chandler of Acworth, GA; grandchildren Penny (Jeremy) Roberts of Winston, Ga, Laura Harris of Dallas, GA, Thomas (Tiffany) Harris of Dallas, GA, Michael (Lindsay) Chandler, Jr, Vinings, GA, and Kelsey (Nolen) Sweet of Lagrange, GA. Great-grandchildren are Brynna, Braeden, and Beckett Roberts of Winston, GA, Carson Harris and Olivia Harris of Dallas, and Charlotte Chandler of Vinings, GA. The family may receive friends on Friday, March 13, 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Saturday, 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 14, 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with James Payne officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Gardens, Cumming.
