Ryan Dorsey Johnston

Ryan Dorsey Johnston, 24, was taken from us on Saturday April 2, 2022, from injuries sustained from an accidental fall.

Ryan was born October 4^th, 1997, in Atlanta, Georgia. He worked as an insurance adjuster for Country Financial, and in his spare time he loved to be with his friends and family. Ryan lived life to the fullest. He was an avid lover of all sports, especially basketball, baseball, football, and golf. He was a huge fan of Marvel movies and Star Wars. Food took precedence over most things for Ryan, and he loved to jam out to the best music.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Shannon, and Joel Thompson; his father, Scott Johnston; his brother Kyle Johnston and his sister Haley Thompson; his Nana, Paula Dorsey; his Pop, Ken Johnston; his LuLu, Linda Thompson and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his Pawpaw, Jimmy Dorsey, his Nanny, Wendy Johnston.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday April 6^th from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Ingram Funeral Home. A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 7^th, at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel in Cumming, Georgia. Reverend Earl Pirkle will officiate. Honorary pallbearers are Zachary Davis, Gregg Fallon, Christian Hansen, Peter Tripotis, Sam Orgias, and Austin Richardson.

As a child, Ryan spent some time in Children’s Health Care of Atlanta for pneumonia. The staff took excellent care of him. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Ryan may be made to Children’s Health Care of Atlanta (give.choa.org).
