Sallie JoAnn Heard

Sallie JoAnn (Morris) Heard, born January 27th, 1941, of Cumming, GA, passed away on January 21, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Sallie loved to sew and create quilts. She loved children and was always willing to play a game. Her favorite, of course being Rummy. She loved vacationing at the beach and in the mountains. Sallie gardened and loved baking her famous cakes, pies, and cookies. She is preceded in death by her husband, Leverette Heard; parents, Hugh and Edna Morris; siblings, Evelyn Hudgins, Gerald Morris.

 She is survived by her daughter Sandra (Randy) Tallant; grandchildren, Jody (Lacy) Tallant, Joanie (Allen) Fowler; great grandchildren, Layla Fowler, Wesley Fowler, Ellie Tallant, Walker Tallant; siblings, Sammy (Diane) Morris, Myra “Nettie” Geyer.

 A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 24th, 2025, at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with Rev. Carrel Pruitt and Rev. Ricky Byrd officiating. The interment will follow at Sawnee View Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, January 23rd, from 12:00 PM until 8:00 PM, and again on Friday from 9:00 AM until the hour of service.
