Salvatore Nicholas Corrao of Cumming, GA passed away peacefully while surrounded by his family Thursday, December 2, 2021. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Sal resided in Bayside, Queens and Lake Ronkonkoma, NY, with his family. He relocated to Ocala, FL in 1995, then moved to Cumming, GA in 2016, after his beloved wife Lorraine passed.
Sal, an avid baseball fan, amateur inventor and artist, worked for Gull Airborne Inc. in Hauppauge, NY as a Prototype Engineer for over 30 years. He enjoyed sketching, doing puzzles and inventing all kinds of mechanical gadgets, but nothing made him happier than spending time with his family. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his loving family, son Bill and daughter-in-law Nancy Corrao of Cumming, GA, son Michael and daughter-in-law Stephanie Corrao of East Islip, NY, his granddaughter Britney, husband Michael Seger and great granddaughter Blake of Suwanee, GA, granddaughter Ashley Corrao of Duluth, GA, Sister-in-Law Peggy, husband Chuck Rowan and Brother-in-Law Bill Steinert and his partner Karen Goldberg. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Vita Corrao, sister Anne Russo and brother Anthony Corrao.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, December 17, 2021 at St. Brendan's The Navigator Catholic Church in Cumming, GA and will also be live streamed at using the following link and password:

A celebration of Sal's life reception will follow in the Social Hall at St. Brendan's.
An internment will be scheduled at a later date at St. Charles Cemetery in Farmingdale, NY.
