Salvatore Salamone Sr. was the definition of a Family Man. His family meant the entire world to him. He was the happiest when he was surrounded by all of them - and by family, that meant his friends too. He loved life, the beach, his dogs and fine cars but most of all, his family and friends.
As an immigrant from Sicily, Sal prided himself on his accomplishments in the U.S. from his hard work and dedication. He owned and operated several successful bars and restaurants in NY, NJ and PA. He was an artist, inventor and trickster in his own right. He loved his pasta and coffee like the true Italian he was. Whether it was dancing, storytelling or pretending to be a horse his grandkids could ride, he always found a way to entertain everyone.
He will be incredibly missed but will never be far from our hearts and thoughts. Sal is survived by his wife of 47 years, Vincenza, his four children, Julieann, Salvatore Jr., Adriana and Sabrina. In addition, 7 grandchildren and an extended family that reaches across the globe.
Visitation from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Sunday the 14th at the funeral home. Entombment at Sawnee View at 3:00 pm.
