Sammy Gene Hester

Sammy Gene Hester, age 61, of Forsyth County passed away Sunday, September 18, 2016. He was a member of New Harmony Baptist Church and is preceded in death by father, Gene Harold Hester and his mother, Betty Gazaway Hester. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Gloria Hester of Jasper; grandson, Ryan Hester of Jasper; sisters and brothers-in-law, Debbie and Lewis Pittman of Martin, GA, Donna and Darrell Williams of Cumming; brothers and sisters-in-law, Donald (Buster) and Anita Hester of Cumming, Craig Hester of Dawsonville, Andy and Tonya Hester of Jasper, Harold and Jennifer Hester of Gainesville, Kelly and Michelle Hester of Gainesville, Casey and Amy Hubbard of Dahlonega; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 21, at 11:00 a.m. at New Harmony Baptist Church with Rev. Donnie Nix officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
