Mr. Samuel Anthony Coppola of Cumming Georgia, formally of Glenville New York, passed away Saturday January 14th, 2012. He was 80 years old.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents Eleanor and Albert Coppola and nephew Stephen Coppola.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Lee Coppola of Cumming GA; daughter and son-in-law Laurie and Brad Tasker of Ellijay GA; son and daughter-in-law
Jeff and Lena Coppola of Cumming GA; brother Joseph Coppola of Mechanicsville NY; brother and sister-in-law John and Anne Coppola of Sarasota FL;
Granddaughter Samantha Martin of Ellijay GA; Grandson Chris Coppola of Cumming GA; Granddaughter Kayla Coppola of Cumming GA; Four Great
Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and his faithful dog Caesar.
Sam graduated from Mount Pleasant High School in Schenectady NY, class of 1948. The Albany College of Pharmacy in Albany NY, class of 1955.
He was a veteran of the United States Navy.
Sam along with his deceased partner Morris Abramson owned and operated Glenville Pharmacy in Glenville NY for twenty-three years, before moving to Norcross GA in 1983.
He retired from full time Pharmacy work in 1994 and in the following years did relief work for various pharmacies in GA.
Funeral services will be held Friday January 20th 2012 at Our Lady of the Mountain Catholic Church in Jasper GA. Internment will follow at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton GA.
In lieu of flowers donations may be sent: Saint Vincent de Paul Society c/o Our Lady of the Mountain Catholic Church, 1908 Waleska hwy 108, Jasper GA 30143.
